mods crashing Thread

for some reason when i try to play the mod The Red Alert it crashes it keeps saying unknown file and something about hash any help please. it also does this with shock therapy mod but does not crash with the tesla tank mod and i never had problem using mods for CNC3 tiberium wars. (note im using desura to install mods)

Follow the instructions here Moddb.com keep in mind that the appid number is different for each game. So you will need to find the right number.

Ok here is what you do. Go to this url Store.steampowered.com look at the url, notice the number at the end, that is this particular games appid. Use the tutorial listed above.

make a text file named (steam_appid) and in the file put the ID number then put it in the CNC RA-3 main directory???
sorry im a little confused. can you please make a step by step direction on what to do because im a idiot when it comes to mods

You just did your own step by step guide.

OK this was what i did, i created a text document called steam_appid and in the text i put the number 17480 that was the number that was there i dont know if its the right number or not but anyway i got confused when you said RA-3 main directory so first i put the file in the RA document and that did nothing then i put it in the RA-3 mod document and that did nothing and i put it in the RA-3 the Red alert (the game im trying to play) document and that did nothing. ether im a complete idiot and did something wrong or i got the wrong number.

I just realize that he downloaded CNC-3 from Steam and i have the CD version of CNC-RA-3
