Mods based directly on existing franchises Thread

When you register a mod, you're asked to categorize it according to gameplay style, type, etc.

The registration form should also contain a field labelled "Based directly on an existing franchise", with "yes" and "no" as the only options.
edit: there could be a third option - "inspired by an existing franchise, but not directly based on it"

Examples:

• DBZ mods are, without question, directly based on an existing franchise.
• Mods with dinosaurs may have been inspired by Jurassic Park, but AFAIK none of them directly copy stuff from the movie.
• BuzzyBots is an example of a mod that is definitely not based on an existing franchise.

I think that is quite a good idea, so then people could find DBZ or Lego or Matrix etc. mods easily

yeah, that would work well.

Very good idea, it'll be great for all those "WHERE ARE THE DBZ MODS" kind of people

Might also be not a bad idea to make a 'comedy' genre of game.

haha yea that would help people like me who like comedy stuff of any sort

good idea but it isn't needed and nor would it help with the searching.

i mean its pretty obvious if a mod is based on an existing franchise hence the data is virtually redundant.

So we could just search for mods that aren't based on franchises, i.e. ORIGINAL

but what about a comedy mod, INtense?

There are barely any comedy mods, and most of them are dead because they were too dumb to get into heavy development

Not ruling out SDBC here, though Now that's a pretty cool game.
