wouldn't it be great/odd/intresting/pointless/stupid (delete as oproppreate) if mods for the same game were combined? i have in mind mixing Galactic Conquest and Desert Combat with the original Battlefield 1942 World War 2 vehicles and guns (and any other mod i can't think of) inot 1 SUPER MOD!!! it would be great to shoot down a Zero in an X-wing or destroy a Blockade Runner with a Quad Cannon...

Yeah, it'd be fun for about a minute, after which you'd get bored and uninstall it. Months of work for a minute of fun? Don't think so.

Counter-Life anybody? O_o

Well Counter-Life is just replacing Half Life weapons and stuff. If it took its hostage and bomb stuff and put it in hl, that would suck.

sorry for typing like a 10 year old but im lazy and tired as hell

I for one love random mixes of senseless fun, but I don't think this mod would catch on very well. I myself would definately enjoy it if it were made well, but as you can tell from the majority of the comments, the average person wouldn't enjoy it.

It might be interesting to make anyway though.. Good luck either way :)

Actually this idea is something Ive been mulling over for awhile now. I like to call it an "over-mod."

As long as the styles and basic game engines work together, this has a lot of potential.

For example, our MMO project would be like combining
Roadkill Warriors and Dystopia. With more programming you could make an over-mod that brought them both stylistically into the same world and create a much more sophisticated game.

The hard part would be convincing the individual mods to join your over-mod. :(

Over-mod? I'm lost.

ok...it is possible to combine two mods and have the product be more than the 2 mods were seperately.

if you can come up with a decent storyline to connect 2 mods that have similar gameplay...add a 1/3rd more content and you have an even bigger, better production.

its a worthwhile idea.

No, you have 1 bland mod instead of 2 unique ones.

in your opinion sure. others can be creative and put 2 and 2 together to make something other than 4.

according to the laws of algebra; mod+mod = mod+mod, not moddmod. To get modmod, you would have to multiply both mods :P

ha ha ha. what if you took the root of mod @ the function of mod as it approaches mod?
