[MOD/ERROR] Quakeworld screw-up Thread

Hello people

It's me once again and this time... I have a pretty bad prob here, eversince i installed quakeworld Client i have these "could not initialize GL" probs and its pissin me off... i dont wanna format my drive and i DID re-install my drivers so dont bother telling me that, please i cant play any new games so i need help pretty badly

1. Maybe you should use the software version for now
2. Do you have an ancient video card or something?
3. What is the error message, exactly? And does it come in a window on startup, or on the console when the game craps out on you?

3. Could Not Initialize GL (wglCreateContectfailed) Make sure you are in 65535 color mode, and try running window // // // Tried it all, nothin.

That's screwy! Do any other games work in GL mode? /me doesn't actually have a solution, but he likes to help other people who do

Yeah they do... i really like quake in GL though so i really need this

i know!!! you need to delete the old gl libraries from your quake directory, but i don't remember the name of them:P

edit: opengl32.dll or something like that

I don't think that's the error he's getting. Who knows, maybe QW is different. So yeah Dezo, try deleting 'opengl32.dll' from your Quake directory if that's still there. I doubt that's the problem though...

he means that quakeworld replaced some dll's in his quake directory, and he cannot run any gl engines now...
