Modern weapons. Thread

As you may have read from here: Moddb.com , me and wolfwood are making a mod.

I am in charge of researching the weapons to be used. I am trying to find modern day weapons that all the realistic style mods dont have. anyone want to contribute their thoughts of what weapons have not been seen three thousand times already?

hmmm... thats a tough one.. i was thinking rail gun, but then i saw that "seen three thousand times" thing, and that ruled that one out.....

I dunno.. think ya may be out done on this one... basically all good weapons have been done too many times to count... lol

How bout you come up with origianl ammo it could do cool stuff i know specail ammos been done before on other games but not halflife mods (im assuming this is for hl) the army has bullets filled with C4 that break on impact and slapters the C4 then it blows up could make for some interesting kills

The gun the Brit army uses is allright can't remeber what it's called though

Not to sound mean here, but do research on something before ya call it fake... And there are a TON more rail gun sites then that... thats the first one that came up on google..

And there are still many many more... I really don't think railguns get put in the spot-light enough.... They DO exist, and don't get enough publicity i think... I read about one built in a lab that was able to instantly accelerate a 6.6 pound round up to 3,000 meters per second!

so far L337_Haxs has the only post that i have liked metal storm was interesting, but this is a realistic mod. dont think a gun with that fast of a ROF would fit in that well.....thanks L337 looks interesting.

It doesn't look very good and if you want quicker fire rates just click faster
