Hi guys,
So i have started developing my first game in unity. (I have previous experience in coding using c++ and java). I have started learning to model in blender and have a few questions on modelling technique.

Q1:
Unity does not have any brush system for blocking in levels so you have to make all assets externally. So when designing a level should i model large chunks of the level as one model, the whole level as one model or simply put in a terrain in unity with a texture and drop in small models to build up the level.

Q2:
When modelling structures with interiors and exteriors should i model the walls and roofs separately to the floor of my house, when do you know when to divide your model in to separate parts, i have tried modelling the whole room/ house as one but that proved challenging to say the least...

Thanks for reading this, if my questions aren't clear in anyway please ask for clarification.

I'd say model your roof walls separately from the floor, and any other floor, it will be a lot simpler to add in your character movement planes with out everything getting in the way, and once your done laying down paths and etc, then add the rest of the model in, and then add the appropriate movement barriers to the walls, doing it all at once can be too tedious, and cumbersome with all the extra geometry, and if you make a mistake it's easier to fix.
