Mod News Posting and the Front Page Thread

I understand why News needs to be authorized before it can be viewed on the ModDB front page but why not have posted news immediately visible on the mod’s profile page? It can be annoying to coordinate posting news to various sites when it can take hours or days for it to appear on moddb.

If you understand why it needs to be authorized in the first place then isn't that enough to know why it can't be posted immediately? I'm pretty sure they have to check over the content to make sure there isn't anything explicit, including language or pictures. And news that appears on the front page is usually big updates for a mod or indie, so there isn't much difference from a front page report and just the mod page news report.

I'm saying if you can immediately post things like images, videos, downloads, etc to a mod profile page, why not have News Posts visible on the mod page while they await authorization for the front page.

People who are apart of your game should be able to see the news as soon as you post it regardless of if I auth it or archive it. The front page requires heavy editing just about 90% of the time, we also have other jobs we need to do like running Desura.

It might sound like an excuse but thats the way the cookie crumbles, if you want people to see your news early contact staff about getting a time setup for your posting to go live.
