This mod I want to create is based off the original game Descent.

The reason for this is because Descent is dead, they will never update, or make a new game, therefore I want to revive it in a mod. This game will be done using the Unreal Tournament 2003/2004 engine, and I am looking for the following people. I will not submit this to ModDB until I get enough people that I know we're good.

Da List:
(1) Programmer
(2) Environment Texture Artist (Indoor/Outdoor)
(1) Sound Engineer
(1) Music Composer
(1) Modeler
(2) Mapper (Single Player)
(2) Mapper (Multiplayer)

*The number represents how many I am looking for. Also note that it helps to be familiar with Descent.

As far as the story goes, I have no idea what I am going to do. Unlike most UT2003 mods, I want to give this mod an actual single player campaign, but I don't want to continue the story from Descent 3. Doesn't seem right considering it isn't originaly my game. I'll figure it out later, but this mod shouldn't break any copyrights.

Damn, this is one damanding employment list. This isn't a final list or anything, it's just something I thought up. I will change it if nessecary.

I have an idea for your mod:
Let people leave their ships.

Requiring people to go outside once in a while would make the single-player compaign more interesting.
I'm not sure how a pilot would move around outside his ship. He might stick to surfaces like the hostages, or he could float like his ship.
The pilot should not be unarmed, he could have a one-shot rocket launcher that can take out a weaker robot or severely damage a more powerful one.

By the way, there's a Descent 2 remake (based on the original source code) called D2X.

BartNowciu: The general idea comes from Descent, but I'm not about to rip from it. Descent has lower quality sounds, I'm hoping I can find someone to create new sounds at a much higher quality.

Fragvergnugen: I am not sure I really want you to be able to leave your ship. I'll think about it, but what made Descent so unique was that it isn't like any other FPS. And yes I am fully aware that D2X exsists, but um, I am kinda making a new game here. I am sorry if I am giving the idea that I am coping Descent, but really, I just want it like Descent, engine wise. That also goes with why I will not rip sounds from Descent.

But, it will be pretty damn close to Descent ;)
