Hey all, I'm considering merging the /company and /groups URLs to be just groups. Then just adding a filter in, so you can filter between them. Means we don't need to show as many URLs and allows you to toggle between them. What does everyone think? -- Scott Reismanis |

Seems reasonable. Companies are Developing Groups after all. -- Creator of the Half Life 1 mod Deflections. |

Hmmm perhaps not the URLs themselves. Just the same unified submission form and under the same dropdown menu (on ModDB)? I.e. keeping URLs and sections as they are, just merging separate submission pages and adding a filter there on the submission page only. (Plus a filter/modifier for the submission page link to set default values for adding either a dev or community group?) |

Yeah true, i might make the URLs still operational, but make it so that groups/ includes all profiles with additional options and you can add a company or a group from the same page. Just deployed an update. Not much has changed other than groups can now be changed to companies and vice versa (so they are both using the same submission form). Also we now only link to www.moddb.com/groups since it merges both and you can change the "category" to filter between them -- Scott Reismanis |
