Looking for Soundtrack Composer Thread

Hey Vakranis,

I just stumbled across your post, and I want to leave a little note. Not particularly about your post, but more a general thought that I feel urged to express:

Should you not leave it to a composer how "to do" his work?
Your first demand is good and perfectly fine. "How it should be: Dark Epic Dramatic sad" <- Here you express a result, a feeling, a mood you want to be achieved. This is perfect, because - if you already have carefully planed your game - you already have a story, a setting and an overall idea of the design and aesthetics and, of course, the music has to fall into line.

But in the second line you more or less tell the composer how to do his work and which "tools" he ought to choose. This might be fine as well, as you are free to demand whatever you want - but I see posts like this quite often, and I feel there is a lot of creative potential just thrown away.
I don't know how strict your vision of the soundtrack is and there is nothing wrong with writing down a personal preference or maybe even naming some specific tracks as role models. But while you are asking for violins and choires (which is just asking for the uber clichee of a fantasy soundtrack), a lonely medieval flute and some deep textures (pads) might just nail it. Or anything else completely off the line, that a creative composer might come up with to fit the needed emotion.

No offense intended. Just a little thought from a composer, seeing to many people asking for a "sound" rather than a feeling.

Thank you for your critics, i have to say, this is my very first "searching for" thread ive ever made.
I tried to make it the best, but i dont really managed it.

At second, my english is not that good then yours, i have to use a translator. I hopely will manage it, the german part of the project is way way way better...

Lets say, a small track about 2 minutes with a dark long theme? Just for testing your ressources.

The Hypertrance track is beatiful, i could use it just how it is in EtKiina, fits perfectly for a strange dungeon.

Hey there! The style of music you're asking to compose would be perfect for me right now, since I've been thinking about doing something like this just for fun. I'm not yet sure whether I have the time to compose that many tracks for you, but you could take a look at my soundcloud page, see if you like my music, and maybe I could do something for this project.

The most relevant tracks for the style you're after would probably be "Sail Her To Hell" and "We Will Stand Strong". "The Flash" could be interesting, too, although it's got some ethnic and synth elements in it.

"Music for Brass Quintet" is unfortunately MIDI, and there are MIDI samples in my Demo Reel.

I don't get it what's hilerious ? . . have you bothered to listen to the user made stuff ? . . obviously i don't use guitar with every track i make, this was simply to demonstrate the quality and technology of my tracks, the realism of the orchestra . . but suit your self . . i'm glad i made you "Laugh" . .

All your stuff on Youtube is very nice, every single Track, your skills with the Guitar are very impressive, as special the Halo Theme.

Its just the thing that i dont need the Guitar, in no track of the soundtrack, it just dont fits in the Theme of EtKiina.

I have all kinds of tracks without the guitar too, don't pay attention to the guitar because i make all the tracks from scratch, i create all the orchestra and choir for example listen to the "Transformers".
