Empires has been going for about 5 years now across both the BF1942 engine and Source, and we're now looking for new developers to help progress the mod further. Coders, Modellers, Texture artists, Animators and Concept Artists are all welcome.

Programmer: C++ knowledge, understanding of basic linear algebra, Source engine experience is preferred.

3D Artist: Good knowledge of 3ds, XSI or Maya, and Photoshop.

Texture Artist: Good knowledge of Photoshop.

Animator: Good knowledge of 3ds, XSI or Maya, experience with rigging and animating character models.

Concept artist: Good knowledge of Photoshop with solid drawing skills.

Generally, no source experience is required for the artist positions as we can teach you how things need to be exported in no time. Artists will however be required to show their portfolio, and coders will be required to take recruitment test to make sure you're up to it.

I'm interested in helping out with programming. I have a degree in math, have plenty of experience with C++ (I program for a living, and have worked with C and C++ off and on for 12 years), and have been hacking on the Source engine solo in my free time over the last few months (mostly creating new weapons, a few random entities with custom behavior, et cetera). I'll drop a PM to the contact on the mod page with an email address.
