Umm, was going to go easy on you since your a writer, and end you're post with "Knight", like I often do as well, but this is just a bit too much, and think you need a taste of reality.

Let me hit you with some knowledge.

1where did you get your training?/ Degree?

2. what/ Where have you been published?/ have been a part of publishing? Where is your related experience?

3. Samples?

I'm sorry, but if not all those 3 things are "Golden", there is no way your getting paid to write anything on a commission basis.

Your entire attitude doesn't inspire people to trust you with a story, let alone paying for it.

Any indie project you find here will have the same "you get paid when it's done" mentality, no exceptions. And if there were, those rare full time positions, are a cut above most people here.

I don't mean to be rude, but this is just too much, your asking people to pay for a person who:

A. Won't actually join the team

B. admits he's not a team player nor a collaborator, and is proud of that.

C. Want's something for nothing, and won't risk what he has now, for potentially something else (better, worse or different)

(If your part of a group, that has issue in even getting everyone together on skype, then your not a team yet. )

D. Claims his intentions are to help others, while admits in an earlier part of the sentence your intentions are to help yourself.

E. I get the feeling you have no idea about how to potentially determine proper size and scope of any game:

F. With actual writing quality, competency, and experience all aside from the above points.^

WTF dude?

You seem to be under the delusion that people will pay for game ideas, that doesn't happen 99% of the time.

You're also telling us you intend to get the ball rolling with an idea, then leave/ leave it to others to make it happen. Unfortunately that also doesn't work 99% of the time.

Creating something isn't as hard as maintaining it, any experienced person would likely agree with that.

Everything is also created twice, once in the idea, and twice in the production/ manifestation of the concept. If you don't intend to at least try and stick around during that time, things will change, and it may become something you never intended, which by your verbiage, you clearly indicate you don't care if that happens.

Why should we want someone who doesn't care?

Why would we pay a person to do/ make something we'd have to redo properly later?

How are you meant to do option 1 properly if you don't actually collaborate with the team/ other writers?

In order for option 2 to work, the person would need a writer of any kind, since they are not one themselves, but would have another skill, thus know what they want to see/ happen in the game, and your role in this case would be to help facilitate that. (it may sound easier, but it's actually not. ) Nor is it your place here to input any ideas/ thoughts, if your lucky, or good enough, you inspire them to make your game instead of their own, (I'm taking out a collaboration, since you claim your not good at that)

If your not ready to be a secretary, then your not ready to be a General, let alone a secretary general.

Search here for writers:

Outsource.com

This is the level you need to be if you want to be a true freelancer.

(Everything always costs, may not be money to make money in the above case, but making money from a craft is never as easy nor as solitary as you make it sound, (maybe if your an outstanding programmer)

TBH, most people here won't even bother with such a post, they'd shake their heads, and not say anything, and you'd wonder why for maybe too long, since no one would have the hart/ courage to tell you your not just wrong, but ridiculous, and be labelled as "Dream killers" in your mind.

People with your attitude degrade the art of writing for game dev.and need to be redirected ASAP, if you really do want to do what you say you do.

Writing isn't this magic rabbit hole into game dev some like to think it is.

But also, people like you give me a chance to do my crusade, so maybe others are just a little wiser when it comes time.

night/Knight.

PS.

And I haven't even hauled out the age card yet....

And this is me at critical thinking level 1.

I crap out new game idea every day before breakfast and every night before bed. The most useless skill I have in game development, for sure. Want a jerb in this industry? Get a real skill. Want to "come up with game ideas?" show up with 50 million dollars.
