Hello everyone

We're in the process of starting up a new (most likely not for profit) project. We have 2 people on our team: our Programmer, working on GML and .NET languages, and me as a Designer. We're in the brainstorming phase and, obviously, we need someone to tackle both the conceptual art, and the in-game graphics.

Your skill level doesn't matter. Indeed, I am a beginner myself, this being my first project to date. As long as you call yourself an artist/crafstman in the 2d arts/animation department, and think you can make some concept art, put it in engine, and refine the graphics all the way through, then you've got the skill requirements I need.
What we DO require, however, is dedication. We need someone that is reliable, someone that won't simply disappear halfway through the project. Someone that will not make the team wait several days without a word. Often times, even just saying "hi, I've got this going on, can't do this work today. Will let you know about it tomorrow!" goes a long way.

The project is unlikely to become anything that we will sell for a profit. As a result, none of us is expecting to get paid for this. If you're starting out, this would be a good way to get into a team of like-minded people who also are very much learning from the experience

Thanks
