Lately articles take along time to be approved. Thread

I'ved noticed that in the last month or so it takes much longer for articles to be approved. In the past it would take less than 2 hours, but now it could take 8 or more. Is there a problem is the system or has something changed?

6-8 hours is actually normal because of 8 hour news rotation. It does depend on when you submit news as well. If you are adding it closer to the beginning of the rotation time, then it will be faster, naturally. So it was never (never!) "less than 2 hours" or "less than 4 hours" it was always 8-12 hours, and only sometimes a bit faster than that.

I would love a way to schedule my articles. This way I could upload them a day or two before and know they will go live at a certain time.

Yeah, would like that too, it would be a nice way to sync download and news pages. Also an ability to specify reasons why an article was archived so the archive e-mail message is more customised/personalised towards the developer whose news got archived.
