I really havent put to much thought into this idea yet but heres the entire concept of it:

There are 2 parallel buildings and there are 2 teams each team in there own building. At first you cannot see the other teams building for the wall being in front of you, so on both sides of each of the buildings are little explosives , not strong enough to hurt you but strong enough to blow a small enough hole in the wall so you can peak you gun thru it and shoot the other team! (Ok its not the most realistic thing bare with me!) The little explosives are infinate so you dont hafta worry bout running out. Each person has 4 lives or respawns (whichever you like to call it) Your team has to kill each person on the other team 4 times. However while you kill the other team every min. or so YOU MUST PLANT AN EXPLOSIVE ON THE WALL or your team will lose either health or a team point (dunno which yet). To win you hafta kill the other team before your wall runs out and the roof collapses on you. Depending on how many kills you can get weapon upgrades that are better for long range fire to the other building!

Im sorry if this is all confusing, but if you do somewhat understand it leave feed back on how this idea can be improved.

sounds ok. I think some more thought has to go in it but it could be interesting

How about movable box's that you can move and stand on to get higher up on the wall.

i was thinking more about how the game plays for example there may be problems like one team not planting the bombs in order to avoid the roof from collapsion. one way around thi would be to make the explosions timed but then you get one person that dosent want to lose and hides untill both roofs collapsion ending the mach in a draw

(im to lazy to use spell cheek to see the speling mistakes i made)

well, I think that if it has a little bit of editing put into the gameplay, and some more features/ideas, it might be cool to play. go ahead and give it a try. if you do it, post the profile page so I can mW it.

I do not believe that this idea alone would cut it it as a mod but may be make it part of a mod that has other unique game play modes. ex. another mode play could be you are on a bridge(or somthing like that) and all you get is a knife(or maybe some really short ranged wepeon like a taser) and as the battle is going on sections of the bridge are breaking off. The objective is to kill every one else before the bridge compleatly breaks apart droping every one still alive to there deaths

(Still to lazy to use spell cheek to see my spelling/ grammer mistakes.)

I think it would make perfectly good mod by itself...

However...it probably wont cut it as a total conversion. Then he may need some new additions...but a mod doesnt have to have tones of stuff. A mod can be new weapons for a game even...it doesnt have to have tones of stuff.

The bridge idea would also make for a cool game though...however...it isnt a CS clone so it wont get off the ground....quite a shame.

Yea about the team not planting bombs, I thought I already said it but anyways, If a bomb is not planted every min. or so the team instanly looses life or a team point and if you lose so much of this that team loses so its not possible to just remain dormant.

I was also thinking just to make it a little less boring to have like the middle between the two buildings like water or sand and random bombs go of and the sand or water fly up and makes it harder to see, also when this happens it would be more intense if there where loud sounds and the screen would shake or somthing.

As for more unique gameplay I could insert different types of guns and char. from differentn eras, such as some guns from WWII and also modern and futuristic guns all depending on the map chosen!

You did say that i was not thinking right. and as for it being good enough as a mod by its self you are also right. i just figured if there was more to it would make it even better. i like it because itis not realy a CS clone and is unique.Because of this, i think it is better to have more styles of game play to get as big of an audiance as it can get.

Yeah...more modes would definitly good...dont get wrong.

Also...Im not saying that it isnt a good idea because it isnt a CS clone...im saying that it is a good idea and that people will like it. But that is all there is to it....not too many original games get off the ground unless it is a group of friends working together...

Yea I have a group of modder friends that can help me with this (I myself being a weapon Modeler) but it would be nice to have some help being as most of them are working on another mod at the moment. I dont think that this mod would be very hard to complete it would be more or less getting it off the ground. I think the beta version will be simple if it does come into veiw then after that id hafta see the response from the player to know if I should "pimp" it out.

As for the profile I just submitted it, you prob. wont be able to see it for a day or two but the mod name is Bullet Crossing :) Ill inform everyone when it is up.

thats a pretty cool name. i wish i could help but i can only create low, and i stess Low, quality maps and that is only using hammer editor.

I just got another idea! What if there had to be some kind of strategy to the way you blow holes in the wall? Like if you blew up some some parts of the wall in unison it would automatically fall. This I beleive would put some realism into the game!

I think I may be a little lost now, but if I am getting this correctly you mean like in accidental way where you do not want to place the bombs there, but these locations are unknown to the players. so they place them there accidentally.(I hope that made sense.) if that is the way you mean then I say it is a good idea. if not then I am lost. also what game is this mod going to be for because I want to know if I have it so I can download this mod when it comes out.

actually some of the philosophies that go into this mod cause the coding to be extremely advanced, and some of the maps will require a bit of "glitching" if we go by the concepts discussed.
