Yep you heard right, i am posting this message from Sunny Queensland in Australia. On holidays for 10 days. Ironically still coding modDB Forums, but yeah on a 28bps internet connection which is next to useless so if you don't hear from me much that is why!!! So yeah all admins will be working hard to fill the gap and hopefully in a few weeks i'll be able to deliver mdbForums v2.0

nah i am a different person, you see i don't really watch much TV, so when people watch TV i go on the net... and nah i don't plan on doing much coding, just lapping up my short break before 6 months of full time work

PF before you start ranting it is actually a pretty complex procedure to do that. I have to query the DB to get everysingle persons post count, then loop through all the members and update them accordingly

(about 30 mins coding, which in my terms is a crapload) i might get a script worked out tonight

That's a lotta coding for one simple task.

select all from the members table, loop them round selecting every post they made, then count rows on that, update the table... oogh.

I thought the DB didn't know who made each post...?

I just created and ran the post updater function, i lost like 50 posts azz0r seemed to lose 500 or so woah! :o

Yep, wuggawoo hit us hard, is there away for any of us to access this script in future, it wont be needed for mdbforumv2 I suppose but It would be nice to know it exists.

I would advise that deleted threads are still kept in a forum, but it should be hidden from peons and shouldnt appear on active topics?
