Hello all, I recently Purchased Empire: Total War Collection and disappointed in the Musket and Cannon sound effects...especially the Musket Fire. There is a Mod to help this, but me being UN-savy about most Computer things, i just dont understand the download/instillation procedure. I would greatly appreciate someone could give me a step by step how to to install a Mod that Helps Empire and Napoleon Total War sound effects. I will be getting Napoleon TW soon as well. Its probably an easy thing to do, but when ya dont have a clue...it might as well be in Chinese to me! Heres the Mod: Moddb.com Thanks so much for any help and advice. I just want to fix the cheesy Musket sounds on Empire. Anybody....Please? Gary Im so utterly frustrated....

Hmmm, but which game are you talking about? Empire: Total War and Napoleon: Total War are separate games? You just need to install WeaponFX.pack to your Data folder, in your Napoleon TW directory (if you own Napoleon TW, not Empire TW that is). There is no certitude that any mods are compatible with different builds of the same game or different games in the series, one can always assume they are not. (So if you installed Darthmod Napoleon on Empire Total War and not Napoleon Total War, it could mess up your game wholly.) Edited by: feillyne

Im wanting someone to tell me step by step how to put a File into an existing Folder. I just dont know how!

Why would that be difficult? You just put WeaponFX.pack in your Data folder, it cannot be simpler than that lol. Copy/cut the file, go to your Napoleon folder and then enter Data folder there, and paste the file. No need to be savvy about anything.

Dude, i downloaded to Notepad, cut and tried to paste but it didnt work. What am i doing wrong? I told ya i havent a clue what im doing wrong. Sorry if im Computer Illiterate...i just am. Would someone PLEASE tell me step by step on how to add this Sounds file to my Data Folder. Ive tried and i just dont know how. Im so utterly frustrated i can even tell you. Anybody....Please!

Hello all,

Somebody...anybody? HEEEELLLLPPPP!!!

So, i tried to Install Darthmod and it completely hosed up my Empire Game. Man....i could sure use someones help to sort all this out. I just want to fix the cheesy Musket sounds on Empire. Anybody....Please?

Hmmm, but which game are you talking about? Empire: Total War and Napoleon: Total War are separate games? You just need to install WeaponFX.pack to your Data folder, in your Napoleon TW directory (if you own Napoleon TW, not Empire TW that is). There is no certitude that any mods are compatible with different builds of the same game or different games in the series, one can always assume they are not. (So if you installed Darthmod Napoleon on Empire Total War and not Napoleon Total War, it could mess up your game wholly.)

Why would that be difficult? You just put WeaponFX.pack in your Data folder, it cannot be simpler than that lol. Copy/cut the file, go to your Napoleon folder and then enter Data folder there, and paste the file. No need to be savvy about anything.
