I Hate Angelfire!!! Thread

About a week of so ago I signed up to angelfire under the name of rock3/brian_maiden so that I could upload my signature for use in these and other forums. 3 days later i log in to mdb and dicover that my signature isn't working.

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I discovered that they had cancelled my account. The reason they gave for this was 'inactivity' (!) I had only been a member for three days what do they expect from me!

I have now signed up again under the name of un/Brian_Maiden (cunning i think you'll agree) I just hope this account stays open longer than it's predecessor.

I would therefore like to invite anyone who has encounterd such problems with said Image hosting site, (or any other online service) to join my campaign.

Splean Vented. End of rant..... for now anyway.

i don't like topcities.com. when i joined they let you upload a load of diffrent files. but suddenly one with no warning it get's restricted to htm, html and gif & jpg files. i could of used the 150megs of free space for my mods but no i can't. i didn't log in for over ten days so they canned my account

I wouldn't, only despite the fact that it's rubbish, Angelfire is the only practical image hosting site that I know of. I tried using MiamiHosting but i discovered it had a max file size of 25kb, what use is that?!

If anyone knows another good image hosting service (not 'sigup' as i believe they now chare.) that does'nt have stupid restrictions like this please let me know.

wierd , i was inactive for 3 days and i was still there, i was inactvive for longer, but i lost my account full of images and everything, they cancled it becuase it was inapropriate (it had some sub7 servers on it from months ago )

Ok this is getting ridiculous now!!

I only started this thread a couple of hours ago and since then they have cancelled my second account. So yet again my glorious signature is not working!

Fake up a "valid" webpage, or set up a Geocities account (I have one for 2 years now, and i've only done images on it)

Nope that doesn't work either.

Geocites doesn't allow external linking.

I tried sighost aswell but it has a 100kb max file size, my sig is 499kb

DON'T USE HUGE SIGS! They have that limit for a reason. Keep it small, we all don't got cable.

By the Way I don't got cable either, and besides my sig is well worth the download time. I wanted to make it as a flash file because I thought it would be so cool if you got a message saying you had to download the latest version of flash player just to view my signature.

opera is silly for .txt it can see them on say a sig, but if someone gave me a direct link to goto it would download the image and open in a word document

in the future... you could just use pcmunkey for your image hosting needs. they haven't ever given me problems.

jeebus!!! that sig is huge!!! why can't you just have a jpg of the bloody brian maiden part? no offense but I don't think the lights really add anything that cool... and it's killing some of the 56K'ers around here.

Actually 30,000 times, so if you use it in your sig, say you have 3 replies per topic, 100 view that topic, you get 300 view, but say you post a lot in that forum, those 30,000 views are nothing...
