Yea sone of you know this but for those who don't know how to get Command & Conquer - Red alert 1 to install & play under Windows Xp.
I have come with a sulotion, and it works fine

01 - Put In The First CD.
02 - Open "Your Computer".
03 - Explore The CD, You Just Put In.
04 - Right-Click The "SETUP.EXE"-File, And Select "Properties".
05 - Click On The "Compability" Tab.
06 - Check The Empty Box Infront Of "Run This Program In Compability Mode..."
07 - Select Windows 95 Or Win98 If It Didnt Work.
08 - Click On The Aply-Button.
09 - Click On The OK Button.
10 - Run The "SETUP.EXE"-File.
11 - Go Through The Installation.
12 - Play The Game.
If It Don't Work Find The "RA.EXE Or "RA95.EXE-File,
And Repeat The Step 04 -> 09.
Then Play The Game.

This would be applicable if Red alert One didn't suck.

Red alert 2 on the other hand, is much cooler.

NONSENSE!

By the way, I didn't need to do that compat crap with my original Red alert copy when i ventured on xp for a short while. C&C 95 installed nicely too

also both games work well as-is in windows 2000

If that doesnt work you should consider gettting the C&C First Decade Ebgames.com

How does that work. It comes with a seperate install for each C&C game I assume. So if each of the games are fixed to run on XP, you'd think they would be nice enough to release XP patches for existing owners. :P

Yea all of the C&C games are included on the DVD and they all work great with XP. I bought this and am playing some of the older titles from time to time.
