I have downloaded Desura for my windows, but I don't have the option to log with steam. There's a way to do it? |

I don't belive you can log into desura with a steam login, as desura is not related to steam you simply log in with your moddb/indiedb login. |

This only works with the sites we offer. The app needs a standard login. --

So I came to Desura to buy a game, it says log in with your Steam account if you like. Ok, perfect. Log in, purchase game, it makes me download the Desura client. I try to log in to the client, no go, I need to create a Desura account. Ok...so I do, and log in. Well now I've got two accounts, one with my game in it, which uses the steam log in and has a randomly assigned user name, and my Desura account, which has no games attached to it. |

...how the bloody hell did you manage that? Steam has games that mods on Desura use and you need to link up the accounts but it makes that rather straight forward. As far as Valve seems concerned, Desura is just something that exists that poses no real threat to it. |

Ah ok I see what you are saying. I read it as you were trying to launch steam through Desura. I will pass on your accounts and merge them, there is a steam bug atm that creates a guest account on purchase. It is easy to fix once we know the issue. --

basically if you create an account using steam, you will need to edit that account to setup your email and password so that way you can use it to login. if you have made duplicate accounts let me know and I can merge them. -- Scott Reismanis |

Hi, it seems I'm in the same situation as Anchor and made duplicate accounts. I'm trying to update my Project Zomboid (which I bought with my steam account). It was only until I made another Desura account to buy Neo Scavenger that I realized my mistake. Would it be possible to merge my 2 accounts as well? Thank you! |

I am in the same situation, but how can I edit my password? It asks me for my OLD password which doesn't exist... Thank you! |

You can login to the website and set your password in your account or reset it here: Indiedb.com -- Scott Reismanis |

edit: Never mind. I logged out in the website then said "forgot password" to reset it. I'm in a similar situation with the password. I signed into Desura for the first time (and registered) using Steam as your website allows and am now signed in (on the website through Steam) but never had the opportunity to create a password. I did enter my steam password during the process but when I try logging in through the Desura desktop client or changing my password (on the website), my Steam password (which is the only password I've ever used within Desura) doesn't work. The Desura client does recognize that "Your account was found but the password you have entered is incorrect. [38.103]" How do I reset or find out my Desura password so I can log in to the desktop client? Edited by: Whitewind_WW |
