Hi.
Possible? Yes. But I believe it's illegal to use the models from another game without owning a license for both. And since you're applying for a school I really doubt you'd want to mess up like that. Now I don't know how to mess with the models for games because 3D Schemes are not my area and probably never will be. You can look on google for numerous tutorials on Modeling/Animating/Changing Models for the Source engine (Half-life 2) Best of luck! |

Hey, like macacos2 mentioned, you can't really use L4D models to put into a mod, unless you get models people have made. My alternative is to simply look for a tutorial that makes the zombies in HL2 have no head-crab on them. Then you got standard zombies. I believe it's just simply editing the source code or some sort of modeling. Hope it helps! |

The only way legally is if the mod required you to have LFD to play, through having the mod mount that content, but I'm pretty sure HL cannot mount LFD content. As Jazzy said you can just remove the headcrab from the npc. Here is the link to the tutorial on VDC here. Good luck my friend. -- The doubt is whether a creature that certainly appears to be alive, really is. Alternatively, the doubt that a lifeless object might actually live. That's why dolls haunt us. They are modeled on humans. They are, in fact, nothing but human. They make us face the terror of being reduced to simple mechanisms and matter. |

As stated above, importing game content into a different game is ILLEGAL. I suggest you don't do it. -- Are you in or out? |
