HL2: Making Dog Chase/Follow the Player (Forums : Level Design : HL2: Making Dog Chase/Follow the Player) Locked

I'm trying to work on a way to make Dog chase the player without having
to code anything. The way I've had the most success with is making him
run to a scripted_scene object and parenting the scripted_scene to a
physics object.

He chases after the object but one he get there he starts teleporting to it if it moves, instead of running to it.

I also can't figure out a way to parent objects to players. I've tried using the !player object with no luck so far.

Hello, to make dog follow the player firstly add a "ai_goal_follow". Then open the entity, click the Field "Actor(s) to effect" and type in Dogs name. Then goto the field "Target Entity" and type in !player . :) The rest of the fields are self-explained. Hope this helps :)
