I am mapping for a mod that uses Hi Res textures. When I use textures bigger than 512 or something, the map would not run when I compile. Its just quits when it trys to load. I tried setting the default image size to 1024, but that still doesn't work. Please reply ASAP.

PS: If you can get this fixed. I'd love to show you some screenshots of the map. It looks amazing. :)

512 by 512 is the maximum :| Just cut it up and apply each piece :)

Try Zoner's HL compiling tools and see if that helps.

I compiled a Quake BSP w/ 1024x1024 texture once, it worked!

That's quake, but any mapper should be using Zoners in any case :|
