Hitman: Contracts --- my review Thread

Well, I just beat the game. So, since I don't see a thread about the game, I'll put my two cents about the game here...
To start, I've been a fan of the Hitman games since number 1 came out. This game, in my opinion, is the best of the three. The graphics and cutscenes for this game are amazing. I especially like the cutscenes. They give this game a really dark and moody feel to it and it's as if you're watching a movie. The only problem I had with graphics was bad collision detection and the way corpses would land. Although, the rag-doll physics are great and your enemies fly through the air dangling as you repeatedly shoot them.
The story is a little hard to follow as the time-frame jumps back and forth through the story.
The thing I liked best about this game (or any Hitman game) was the fact that the missions were non-linear. You could do your objectives in any order and in any way you please.

You could complete your mission by blasting your way through it, or you could disguise yourself as a chef and poison your victims food. Or would you dress up as one of his bodyguards and pump him full of lead when his back is turned? Or wold you snipe him from the rooftops as he enter his limo? Your options are totally up to you and your "overall" at the end of the mission would be affected on how stealthy or aggressive you were.
The controls were very easy, simple, and the set up is for what casual gamers are used to.
The voiceovers for this game were done really well and the dialogue never felt cheesy or unrealistic. The sound was also great. You would hear innocent bystanders scream as you shoot down the chief of police. And shooting him down sounds just as great too. The music for this game was fantastic. I love the way the music plays when you're about to make a hit. It gives the game a huge boost while your playing and the music itself is a perfect fit for this game.
Going back to the gameplay, the game felt a little too short. There were even a couple of levels I completed in four minutes. And I'm not exaggerating. This is bad enough since there aren't many levels.
Overall this game stacks up very well compared to others in its genre (for example, Splinter Cell: PT) and it does a great job in all areas of the game. I would definately recommend this game if you have a couple days free, even a weekend will do you good.
I give this game, out of 10, a 9.

i complete hitman 2 in less than 2 days
and yes no cheats and i did blast my way through

looks pretty sweet

I always end up blasting my way through the levels. It's not my fault they made th sounds so good. I just have to hear those guns shoot!

i loved hitman 1 (i still play it sometimes), never played hitman 2 and i WANT HITMAN 3

im a big fan of hitman, played the demo 100 times , need the full game

I hate hitman1, i have been trying to beat the 6th level for 3 years now:/

the most badly acted line in hitman 1 is "I need to use the bathroom"
cracks me up every time lmao

I just may have to try this hitman out.

I agree totally. I just feel like it should've been an add-on, especially when 3 maps are just remakes.

Hmm, good point azzor. Still, you got to admit, they can still even milk out one more game if they wanted. I really like the story and the style of hits they come up with for this game. Once, I shot some guy on the crapper after I put laxatives in his soup.... mmmm
