Well call me strange. But i like history.... One thing that I think would be a good addition to the mod profiles is a place to put the history of the mod. I'm not talking about a change log from version to version. But a place where mod leaders can write up about the history of the mod. Stuff like the change in leaders, set backs, failed starts, how it began, clans that helped make it popular. Basically the story of the mod and how it was developed. I'm sure it could be easily added to the description, but perhaps if there was a history box then more mods would include this information. |

Maybe a feature only available when a mod reaches 80-100%? --

Um, I personally don't really like that idea. Just look at past news posts, and go to the web site for history information, or even their forums. I don't think any mod team member wants to look to their past. lol |

Oh Dear Yeah Its a good Idea but do you mean Game Leaders or Human Makers because if its the human creators its not going to be very exciting, if its the game leaders like commandos and crap then you could really go wild thinking up tight spots and cunning senarioes but you would eventually run out after about 10 years possible alot less, you could also state the given honours if you did do it but it would be difficult -- ModDB Fucking Oldtimer and (ex) Crow |

You could maybe post on the mods that have won national honors or awards, like from the Make Something Unreal contest or from ModExpo or any of those conventions. It'd attract a lot more people to the mod, because it's sometimes sad to see mods getting so much coverage everywhere else but here |

What I mean is something like I 1-3 on Planetquake.com Its just like the history of anything else, if someone doesnt write it down all the people will be gone who know it before you know it. |

Things like that should probably be kept on the mod's website IMO; modDB was never designed to replace the need for mod teams to have a website... -- modDB▪GuyTypeThing |
