Hide Unowned Games? | Locked | |

Okay.. Desura is kind of nice and all, but for whatever reason it seems to keep adding games to my games list that are either managed via disc or by Steam. Is there any way to filter out any game that Desura does not have a valid "Full License" for? It's getting more and more difficult trying to remember which system has the rights to which games. No dice? No idea? |

Do you mean for games that have modding support? Just add the ones you want to show up manually rather than automatically adding everything. --

What I mean is that for whatever reason, Desura added my Steam games and games I have on disc to my list, yet I want Desura to only show games I own through it. |

Sounds like you have run the install wizard when you installed Desura. Simply put Desura looks for games you have installed that we support with modifications. --

Is there any way to force Desura to only manage games I own through Desura then? Part of the problem is I'm not 100% clear which games are ones I actually own through this platform, and whihc ones are "Free" version or "Demo"s. |

I'm guessing you could add only your Desura games to your favorites. I'm not seeing a way though to remove something w/o uninstalling & removing from your account though. Not sure what would happen if you removed a Desura bought game though. -- Go play some Quake 2: q2server.fuzzylogicinc.com |

Do not run the wizard on install? --

That's my concern. I don't know what would happen if I attempted to remove games I own through Desura (extension: HIBs and so on).
Problem was, even in that case, Desura still had a list of everything. There was no "wizard" that I was aware of. (I had uninstalled Desura maybe.. seven months ago and only recently came back for Zomboid and Xenonauts.) It's kind of late to say "Well, you shouldn't have.." when it's already happened with no clear cause-and-effect as to why Desura is now listing games it doesn't manage DRM for. What does "Remove from Account" actually do? What does "Not Ready" mean versus "Not Installed"? Edited by: Freyar |

Ok try heading to C:\ProgramData\Desura\DesuraApp and removing the files that are not in folders. This should effectively clean your personal settings. Uninstall Desura and do not run the wizard on install. --

Reinstalling from scratch didn't help. Games I don't own a full license for are still in my list. |

Did you do my suggestion? --

Yes, I did. (Otherwise it wouldn't have been from scratch. ) |

Hmm I will look into it further. --

Fresh install on a new system. (New board, wiped drives, new CPU.) Still unsure how to ID games I own through Desura. |
