Hello there, im Chris, producer of Ambush in Mogadishu for Call of Duty. Ambush in Mogadishu is about the conflict in Somalia. For those who have seen the movie "Black Hawk Down" or read the book know what I am talking about. The operation code name was Operation Restore Hope, which lasted from December 3rd 1992 to May 4th 1993. Our mod will bring you back to the time of this conflict. We will let you play in the footsteps of those who were in the conflict. We will retrace the actual battles word for word step by step. We are in great need for the following. 4 Talented Modelers Modelers will be given the task of one of the following. Weapons, Buildings, Vehicles. You will work on what is given to you and if you cannot complete it we will get someone else who can. Texture artists will be given the task of making our skins, textures, and what else might be needed, such as sigs, and images for the website. Audio producers will be given the task in making our mod sound as real as possible. Public Relations will be given the task in getting our mod known in the CoD community. They will submit out news to every website they know and get us a good community going. Awesome scripters are needed badly. You will need to put new features in game the best you can, if you can. Add our weapons in game. Make new multiplayer types. Ect. Mappers, we need some very talented mappers. We need to make the most realistic maps out there. Remember, we want this mod to be awesomely realistic. Our 6 man Research and Developement will be in charge of researching the history behind the conflict, getting us more info. Putting together a storyline and information page for our website and developing our map layouts from real maps of the area, what weapons we need, ect. If you would like to join our modification, please head over to our website, Aim.clan-usrangers.com and click on Join our team. Thanks for your time, I hope to hear from you soon. |

You really don't need a mod team that size. I mean, you're asking for more people than some real development teams have. Remember, Counter-Strike was made by only two people. - Edited By alco On Wed 24th, Dec 2003 @ 12:25:07pm |

It's very rare to get a mod team that big. Although I've seen mod teams as large as over a hundred people (impressive), and they only churn work out as fast as four or five dedicated persons. |

That doesn't make sense, honestly. Just because you put "5 skinners required" doesn't mean you'll get 5 applications. Because you ask for a lot of people doesn't mean you'll get a lot of applications. You're actually lucky to find people willing to provide help in the first place. It's best to tell how many people you need, or simply tell the positions. - Edited By alco On Fri 26th, Dec 2003 @ 1:57:46pm |

This is true, number stated as required is not proportional to number of applicants. If it were true, there would be no point in job interviews - the correct number of candidates would always turn up. How many from each category are simply actually required? |

If you need someone for historical accuracy and research, I can help you out. I recently assisted the Invasion 1944 mod, with a huge slab of historical information on World War II firearms used by all nations. --
