[HARDWARE] Onboard Graphics card TNT2 Model 64 Pro Thread

Hey, i cant run bf1942 on my computer, i have more than enough for everything except the game doesnt support opengl so everything is blue and fucked up and invisible. How do I fix this, I bought a video card a while ago but when we installed it, it didnt work, the box said it was compatible, but it didnt work, i think it is because i have an onboard video card. Can someone help me and tell me what i need to do?

Ah. It's because the card lacks TNL. I've had that problem on my Kyro2.

Ok i downloaded it, and im running it but what do i do now?

Select BF1942.EXE with it
Check any box that has the letters "TNL"
Click "Run"
and it should work properly, no more smurf platoons.
If it doesn't, then you're out of luck.
But that's how it fixes the problem on a Kyro2.

well it crashed my computer twice, i have everything that says soomething about tnl, is there something else i was supposed to do? it says error about a dll file, Is there another way i can fix this, and how can i install another graphics card?

maybe u can try updating ur card drivers

Hahh hmm... The latest isn't always good, I prefer Detonator 30.82

If it bothers you about TNL, try "emulate tnl caps"

i did that, the detonator? i downloaded that and it didnt change anything on my computer, the file was detonator 44.03, but it still stayed at NVIDIA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro 44.03

Do you think it could be something else that 3da could help? Also i am running the bf1942 demo, i installed the full game but i uninstalled so im using the demo to experiment with.

I just remembered somewhere, you might need to find a registry change for your detonator settings to enable "DXTExposeCaps"

i dont know where that could be, or what is happening, all i know is i have a really bad video card that cant run things and i cant get it to work. but i will look for this registry, do you have any idea where it could be?

I just found something on my change device thing, it has all hardware installations, and there are lots of different drivers, do you know if i should change to one of them??

It has list all hardware, and list all compatible, under all hardware i found geforce and stuff

You mean you can't find registry hacks for your TNT2?

The same problem will happen with NOLF2, and more games that are high-poly with exclusive TNL usage.

As a hint if you're ever shopping for a new board again, a Geforce256 alleviates this smurf bug for sure. So does a Radeon7200.

yeah man i think last time we got a voodoo, but it wouldnt install because it was a tnt2, also i think it wouldnt install because it wasnt Nvidia compatible. So i think i got it figured out. and no this only does this with bf1942, so i think ill just go buy myself a Gefore2 or a quadra

You tried getting a new Voodoo2 for your computer!?? That would put you in a worse situation.

Quadra is for workstations. You're better off with a GF2GTS.

ok also where is the registry tracks things, i looked in settings and in the tnt2 area but i dont see anything
