Thank you for taking the time to view this post, and consider the project.

Team name:
Haptix Entertainment

Brief description:
Haptix Entertainment is a small startup studio located in Ontario, Canada. Our first title, a casual sidescroller for Apple mobile devices, has been in development for approximately one month, with the main gameplay mechanics almost fully programmed. It is now at a stage where some artistic talent is required to help the project reach completion.

Target aim:
Because the game is being developed for the iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad mobile devices, the goal is to be accepted into the iTunes App Store and sell it for a reasonable price.

Compensation:
Each individual involved with the project will be offered a percentage of the revenue generated from the project, once the initial costs of the project have been recovered. This percentage will be determined by the amount of work that the individual has contributed to the final product. We are planning on reinvesting most of the revenue back into the company (once it is officially registered) to create future products.

Technology:
The game is currently being developed using the Unity iPhone game engine, so therefore, the scripting has primarily been done with javascript. I have paid the fee to join the Apple Developer Program, and will be purchasing the full Unity license once my trial has expired.

Selected candidates will be allowed to use whichever software they are most comfortable with, given that it is capable of exporting to the required FBX file format for the engine.

Talent needed:

3D Artist
The primary objective of the 3D Artist is to model and texture a main character for the game, and create a few basic animations (run, jump, etc.) The 3D Artist will also be required to produce the environment objects, along with their textures. This includes, but is not limited to, terrains, platforms, etc.
Requirements:
- Experience with 2D and 3D graphics applications
- Ability to create a proper rig for the character
- Capable of creating believable animations for the character
- Excellent ability to work in a team

User Interface Artist
The User Interface Artist will be responsible for creating all of the menu graphics that allow the player to navigate through the game. This includes, but is not limited to, splash screens, menu buttons, etc.

Requirements:
- Experience with 2D graphics applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Excellent eye for appealing design
- Ability to work within a team environment

Although these are the two most crucial positions needing to be filled at the current time, if you believe you have something to offer to the project, I’d like to hear from you!

For all of these positions, examples of your work are absolutely required as a demonstration of your capabilities.

Team structure:
I am currently the only member of the team, and have been focused on all of the programming aspects of the game. I have worked on the design, and have created basic placeholder models for the game until an artist creates something more visually pleasing.

Previous Work by Team:
As mentioned above, I am currently the only member of the team. I am a recent graduate from a University program, specializing in game development. I am currently working on some smaller contract positions on the side to help fund this project.

In the past, I have work with various engines, anywhere from Torque2D to the Unreal Developer Kit.

Additional Info:
As this is our first project and an unfunded project, I am not only aiming to create a successful game to market, but I would also like to give these artists something to put onto their resume to show off in the future.
