I found a bug with Steam Counter-Strike. If you alt-tab and return, the engine render everything trough walls. I guess only work with a few GeForce cards.

alt + tab usually minmizes the game

lots of games have that probelm, its not because steam or cs

That happened when i was playing they hunger, i pressed ctrl+esc to minimize the game and when I went back in the walls were semi-transparent, It had a really trippy effect

Also leaving msn open, when someone signs in most walls go semi-transparent.

yeah thats rightm its like minimising

I lock msn, pisses me off when people sign in, while im trying to play

If you play Unreal Tournament with a TNT2 using the OpenGL renderer, and set it so it thinks your not using a TNT2...all the walls go white.

I wonder if something similar will happen in hl2?

probably not they have all this extra time to go over the bugs and test it out then go over bugs again then add a few more guns and people and maps and go over the bugs again

I don't think games can fix it, it's a screw up with the screen buffer when OpenGL isn't in exclusive mode on the Geforce. This will happen in EVERY game tho, but that doesn't matter, I play in a window

i play CM4 windowed

but never experienced this semi-transparent wall buffer error

sometimes when i alt+tab out and go back in it looks all tie-die.. really neat.. and all the sounds come over really loud.. happens alot in CS and even in darkplaces for q1!

the only game i ever played windowed was Deus Ex1

Heh, I played UT1 in a window because of S3 Trio crappy graphics card.
Carni, the sounds in CS after alt+tab or minimizing are loud for you? I remember that everything I heard was complete silence - but it may be all about system specs.

Yeah, HL loses it's audio when you alt-tab out, it's a bug that's been going around since the release of half-life (and apparently they're proven to be gullible enough to not ever fix it)

the bug is gone in steam

you knwo something i never really noticed.. in quake2.. the hand grenade.. its thousands of years in the future and it still can explode in your hand!

didnt think to fix it in the future i guess :/
