Yah, Im pretty unaccustomed to the half life mod scene due to the fact that i didnt have half life til bout 3 days ago, so I was wondering if Half Life 2 is going to have the same basics. Models and whatnot for modding. The reason Im wondering this is because Im considering going into modeling/ animation for Half-life and just dont want to waste my time or efforts if its going to do no good on Half life 2. Any suggestions where I can learn to model for half life if its going to be the same swing for Half life 2? Im already more than expierienced with programs like Milkshape 3d from games like Quake 3 but extra tutorials and modeling programs always broden my horizons on games. So input. |

HL2 will use a totally different animation system with Havok control, and it's going to be hard to operate and learn with even if you're an experienced HL modeler/animator. I don't exactly fall for hype of new games like HL2, I just stay with what I have. I'm not going to buy HL2. - Edited By cheapalert On Mon 16th, Jun 2003 @ 5:37:45pm -- < insert subject games here >

Yeah, but I doubt MS3D would support it after the release since the file format used could be hideous in many, many ways. -- < insert subject games here >
