heh 694 diskietes are nearly 1 gb... i think that half-life 2 will be bigger than that

694 1.44MB Disks are a totally of 999.34MB's. HL2 is gonna have like 3CD's. (Thats my guess)

Max Payne 2 has a nice mirror effect, any change HL2 will have it? I want to make a mirror maze r00m if mirrors are in is there a limit to its re-reflections?

azz0r - you've seen pixel-shading effects in the video on stained glass etc... there will be possibility for mirrors in hl2.

Quake had mirrors since the start.

if a game needs more than 1 cd it should go on dvd. more space faster install more gaming!

from now on they every game big game should be on dvd, and who does not had a dvd-rom has propably an older pc so wont be able to run the game...

HL2 claims it runs on DirectX6, so I doubt it.

That means I can play HL2 just fine on my p100!

i doubt it'll run on that. but i'll try it on my 486 then the p 133 and finally my current celeron 416mhz.

My oldest computer is my 486.

My computer doesn't have a DVD-ROM drive, and its farely new.

Oldest I got is an XT, and that'd be my 1985 XMAS present. Whee!

And no it won't work on that.

It'll probably run on a 486 dx4 120MHz w/ a Voodoo2 and 64MB RAM, hopefully the detail would be more scalable than HL (no detail settings at all there) so it'll reduce down to Quake or 4D Shooter quality to appropriately fit the system, so yes that nerd in the video "Will it run on my 486?" sould be happy if this claim is true.

I don't think they're bonna gother with slow 64kb tapes

HL2 on tape would be great. or 5 1/4" floppies...
