Some of the Half life 1 mods I download have no control configurations and I can't even move or do anything, How do I get the controls to work please?

The only way is tweaking the setting in the config.cfg, and don't touch the options menu, because you will lose the config again.

I can't launch the, "Cry of Fear" mod. Every time I try to open it the message, "Failed to luanch item cry of fear, file is not valid exe [ O;F_LAUNCHER%],[61.0] pops up. What Do I do to start the mod?

Failed to launch item and file is not valid exe are errors that occur when Desura found hl.exe in a wrong directory. Have you correctly selected your Steam username in Desura settings/when installing the mod?
