Gundam Wing Mod Thread

(Leo or Aries)

3 weapons for each mobile suit

beam saber (close range)
rifle (long range)
maching guns on there shoulders (extra)

You start out as a human with a gun running around looking for your mobile suit. (You can choose anyone) and im not sure about this part but-your mobile suit will be like a vehicle and you ride in it and when it is destroyed, you go find another mobile suit before you die

Maybe it will have capture the flag and just fighting game play

Who will i need

moddeler (i cant model)
coder (kind of program)
mapper (ok mapper)
someone who knows about gundam wing (of course i know this or i wouldnt start this)

That's not original now is it plus you didn't specify a game.

plus there is a gundam mod already in development

And most likely NO ONE will be able to compete with that one

Plus he demands for a big team, typical anime mod help request, tsk tsk.

UT2k4 would work perfectly with the vehicle idea

Well, im doing a GundamWing based mod too and i have the same idea about the gundams/mechs as a vehincle but that's for the hl2 engine, first version is for hl1

Besides, personally I think a much more Gundam mod would be more a teamplay-oriented mech game about standard combat, not this crap with "super ultra Gundam stuff" - playing a squad of Zakus would be fun, for example.

Anime warfare game I'd like to see as a mod? Some of the later Robotech series' stuff, like the Southern Cross (transformable hovertanks, bio-roids with jet sleds, etc) or Invid Invasion.

RTS-style Gundam mania! Set up your army of Gundams! Mod Homeworld 2! That'd be the shit

What happened to "Operation Meteor"? Members from the Matrix Half life team disolved and joined Operation meteor. No one has heard anything for quite awhile. I remember the models and a few in game WIP maps but that was all I saw.....

Has anybody seen the mod of the month? Because i think thats got a bit of gundam in it.

yeah, mechmod....

im following that mod almost for a year now....

and its up to release any time (i'll guess 2 weeks)

but its still a MECH mod with only 1 gundam in t (deathscythe)....

i want a fully gundamwing based mod so im doing 1

There, a gundam mod with solid models and good progress for Quake 3. And if you whine "but its not for Half Life 2!" then I don't think anyone will take you seriously - Q3 is good enough.

lol, im also watchig GU (GundamUnivers) for a while and yeah, its a good looking mod and i never said or will say that Q3 (Quake3) is a bad engine

and to silent_shadow; i know its basicly the same thing, but still will be different

like ESF and DMZ, or some other marine vs alien mods like NS and another1 i forgot the name of it .

its all basicly 1 thing but still different
