I've chosen this title, because I think it's generating the most interest. Also, if someone uses the search function, it's probably easier to find the guide with this title. The original name for it was "Guide to Leadership Qualities" or "Leadership Insights". I've been working on this guide for about 15 hours. Thanks a lot to Leiste for proof-reading and suggestions. Both of us aren't native speakers, so there probably are grammatical errors in there. I apologize for that, but I think it's good enough to understand everything. Enjoy reading!

Table of contents:

  • Foreword...................................................... Page 1
  • Chapter one: The reason................................. Page 1
  • Chapter two: Your motivation........................... Page 3
  • Chapter three: The idea field........................... Page 3
  • Chapter four: Presentation.............................. Page 4
  • Chapter five: The real deal.............................. Page 5
  • Chapter six: Attracting high skilled people......... Page 6
  • Chapter seven: Binding................................... Page 7
  • Chapter eight: Highs and Lows......................... Page 8
  • Chapter nine: Denial and Dismissal.................... Page 8
  • Chapter ten: Expertise................................... Page 9
  • Final words................................................... Page 10

I've uploaded the file to dropbox, so you can read it instantly. Just copying it into the ModDB text editor doesn't work so well, because the option to implement headlines isn't given in casual threads.

Hey iQew, damn how do you have time for all those things you do? I'm impressed. Anyway, I just started reading this document and I noticed there isn't a cover and as far as I could tell you don't even have your name in the document. It's of course not a necessity because it won't change the content, but it's a common thing to have at least the author's name in it, as you probably know. Also, you've added a table of contents in this thread, maybe you could add it to the document as well? And add page numbers?

I know those things are not really important, but you still might want to consider it. I've learned the hard way that it gives a better impression if you include those things.

Thanks for writing and sharing this!

Hey there, you're definitely right about the first impression. I didn't notice there wouldn't be any page numbers, because I was checking the document with adobe reader, which automatically numbers them. I'll add everything you've mentioned here over time. This was planned to be just a thread on ModDB rather than an e-book. I'm also open to write more chapters when people have some questions left or suggestions in general. This is not a finished guide, but a work in progress. However, it already covers enough content to help some starters.

Thanks a lot for the critique, I hope you enjoy reading it.

cheers.

I've now added a table of contents in the document, too. In addition, there are now page numbers and I've fixed some grammatical errors. I'm going to create a cover soon.

cheers.
