It's official. The mega-hit is now coming to the xbox. it should look so much prettier. omfg, HDTV support I hope!!!

I want to hear more details but they haven't mentioned it yet. I want to know what will be different/updated.

Sounds pretty cool. It'll definitely look a lot better, and perhaps the Xbox's technical mastercraft will help improve GTA's transition between cities and textures and things like that.

Can't wait to test it out on the Xbox (Even if I've already played it on the PS2).

yeah me too. it was also announced for PC too chis. modders rejoice!

personally, the PS2 version was alright, but I like my HDTV and wouldn't mind using it. Also, the graphics on PS2 just downright suck. at least on the xbox it looks like the PC version. The problems that plague the PS2 version is the draw-in and pop-up. I will admit though, it was handled alot better this time around. It should play fantastic on the xbox though.

Yes, the PS2 is showing its age. That doesn't mean it has an awesome line-up of games coming (I know MGS3 is already released)

Metal Gear Solid 3, Xenosaga II, Final Fantasy 12, Kingdom Hearts 2, Ico, Wanda and the Colossus, Tekken 5, Virtual Fighter, The Getaway: Black Monday, Gran Turismo 4, Need For Speed Underground 2, The Godfather....

Just a bunch of awesome games It makes me happy that I own all three consoles, so I can enjoy all the goodness ^_^

Tekken 5 is reason enough for me to buy a PS2. I would play that game endlessly. I played Tekken 4 for hours every day for months on end.

I just cant wait until GTA SA is out for PC! The GTA series are really close to being my favorite game (although i dont really have one, there are only games i like and games i dont like). And yes please make as many mods as possible

it was common sense they would port it to xbox after massive sales on their double pack :-P

PC, lets just hope they realize the modding base they have and do something to help out!

Rockstar Games let the good news fly today, announcing that its mega-hit Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will arrive on Xbox and PC on June 7 in North America. Euro-gamers will receive the fifth game in the series June 10, 2005.

I'd rather have DOA or Soul Calibur. I will admit though, Tekken is a damn good combo fighter, but I still like DOA better.

Also, I think the consoles are pretty distinct in lineups. you want great action games? go Xbox. you want endless supplies of japanese games and RPG's? go PS2. You want oldschool characters from your gaming heyday? go Gamecube.

me? I like my action driven FPS's and the Xbox fits that bill to the T. if I want the occasional RPG... Fable and KOTOR are always there.

I definitely hope the next Nintendo system, Revolution, grows up a little. I hate it being badgered by others for being "all about the kids", which is why it's doing poorly compared to the other two systems right now. They have to remember their roots and boost their 3rd party relations so they can make bigger and better games for their console
