What do you think about how the GTA ratings change and subsequent public awareness of game mods will affect the mod scene?

Post your opinion here.

i'm going to have nudity in Stonefang again then, and plus as that's a GPL opensource project, it could mean alot to retaining freedom of speech in project content heh, because the ESRB can't do crap for free GPL projects.

No sex (not even a "hidden" minigame), but as there's going to be visible flacid penis (as role players and FURRIES would want that in the customization system), the joke will be on them in a different issue "OH MY GOD NEUTER AND CASTRATE THESE MONSTERS MY EYES THE GOGGLES THEY DO NOTHING"

It wont effect the Half Life mod scene. It will hurt the modification fun for users of GTA San Andreas. Rockstar coded these sex games in the game for no one to see them and they have the balls to blame someone or company (gameshark) and the creator of the (hot coffee) mod as who we all should be blaming is bullshit.

They should look at them selves and fight to get the rating removed and or give into this and accept this and move on.

When NBA Jams came to the arcade the coder of the game coded in a tank game in 3d. You had to put enough money for two players and hold down all the buttons and circle the joysticks. They fired him due to the fact they didnt know he did this. When I read this story and what is happening and I see that Rockstar knew this was in the game and hid it I don't feel sorry for them!

what about the SimCopter's gay pride thing? That pretty much was the first issue involving video games and sexuality. (Duke's "omg shoot strippers" don't count)
