Ghosts? Thread

Do you think there are such things as ghosts? If so how come, personal experience or just a believer. For me I would like to say there is no such things a ghost but through personal experience I am going to say yes. I have three examples of events that have happened that make me believe in ghost.

1. Back when I first started going to high school I would always get home first. This was because my brother and sisters did not get out of school until later. Well when I got home I normally had to go to the bathroom (all the bathrooms in my school smell like smoke so I never use them.) One day I was taking a #2, all of a sudden I herd noise. It sounded like some one was on the stairs. (My stairs squeak when some body walks on them). Since nobody was suppose to be home I became quite scared. I thought some one had broken in or something. I quickly pulled up my pants and opened the door. When I opened the door and looked down the stairs nobody was there and the noise had gone away. I went back into the bathroom to Finnish wiping and then I herd the noise again. This time I ignored it to I was done and searched the house. There was nothing and the sound had stooped when I came out of the bathroom. (This type of thing happened quite a few times the noise always stopped when you went looking for it.

Ill post the other ones tomorrow I am tired and going to bed.

yeah unfortunately I have to say I do believe in ghosts... if you were in the situtaion I was in last summer anyone would.

i'm not sure, i cant say i've had much experiance with people dying at all really.

But if teh ghosts dont exist, what happened to Bruce Willis? O_O

I dont believe in them, I dont belive your whole consciousness just gets removed from your head and floats around

Overcourse i belive and i think we know when you die, some form of energy is released from your body, but it doesnt have the ability to think for its self and go haunt someone, like they say

You become the world, the earth and the tree's your energy is just released into the world.

I find it hard to believe when you die, you still exist faintly with your own consciousness, but your.. slightly invisible.. its just silly

To be honest, i think its the mind playing tricks on people, two of my friends, who strongly believe in ghosts, seem to *hear noises* * see wierd things* all the damn time

Me who doesnt have a belive in them, hears and see's bugger all.

i don't believe in ghost. if i tell you, i just saw an alien jump off a cliff, and rape 1,000,000 people, will you believe me? i think all those ghost stories are bs. stratcom's story of ghosts was prolly when u hear wierd things that nobody else can hear. it turns out ur brain is playing tricks on u.

eg:
today i thot i heard my mom calling me, i go to her, and she says "what do you want?". i'm like didn't u call me? she's like no.

Once I was in my computer room and then suddenly I heard my tv going on. The tv was in other side of my home and I couldn't have set it on... maybe there was some ghost putting it on... heehehe...

or maybe a dodgey wire or any one of hundreds of possible explainations.

so the ghost wanted to watch tv? see there the stupid things

Just 'cos something can't be explained immediately it dosn't mean a ghost did it.

The other day my kettle turned itself on and boiled some water I left in it. Ooo a ghost!!! and after a 5 minutes of tinkering I found out that a dodgey connection in the kettle had been sparked and that caused the kettle to turn itself on. No ghost there.

I know that is the easiest story I said to possibly explain. I do not want to believe in ghost because I am very into science and stuff and from that viewpoint it is impossible. But when some really strange stuff happens I guess I have to blame a ghost. Now onto incident number 2.

#2 One day after my family was finished dinner I was sitting in our dinned room when my sister came up and said "hey look at what I just found" she was holding an old glove back from many years ago. My mom was like wow! I haven’t seen this pair of gloves in years. She asks where is the other one and my sister says she doesn’t know she looked all over her room and could not find it. My sister gave the glove to my mom and she put it into the hat bag (we keep all of are winter gloves, hats, etc... in a duffel bag. well I get up and looked towards the stairs and see the glove on the top step. I said hey mom you dropped the glove. She looks at the glove in shock and says I did not drop it. She goes to the duffel bag and pulls out the other glove she had just put in. then we all are in shock.

Ill save the next one until later.

wait I dont get that story? they found one glove, stored it away, then you found the other one on the step?

Yes that is pretty much it. (I guess I did not do a good job explaining it.) After years on not knowing were it was, it was found on the top step.

I wouldent relate that atol to ghosts :/

Yeah, that guy is definitely a ghost, so pale and dead looking...

Ghosts are dead spirits trapped on earth or ghosts are some weird lifeform?

Ok now it is time for the third incident.
#3 one day me and my family were all sitting around the dinner table and having a discussion ( It may have been about how I believe aliens are stupid. I had brought it up one time just to have a humorous conversation. This happened about a year ago so I am not sure exactly what we were talking about.) The phone rang in the middle of are conversation and my dad answered. this is about what we heard him say while he was on the phone. "No I did not just call you.... uh that is very strange..... no we did not call you....Very strange ok bye." he hangs up and says that was my mother to my mom. she was calling because she thought we had called her. she was able to repeat the conversation we had just had been having. She said that she was screaming it to the phone in order for us to hear her but nobody was answering so she hung up and called us. I said well may be the phone was on or something. my dad says I couldn’t of been if it was then my mom would not have been able to call since the phone would be busy for us. so the only logical conclusion is that the phone turned on dialed my grandmothers house(because we do not have her number on speed dial and my grandmother was not the last person we had called so it could not have been redial) and then hung up by its self after my grand mother had hung up and called us back. I cant think of what else it could be unless it is god doing this because he has a sense of humor:).
Yes these are all real events that have happened to me and my family. I know it is hard to belief. I know it is hard to belief because if it was some one else telling these incidents I would call them a lier so you are all liers if you say you had a ghost incident because I only believe when it happens to me. I am still skeptical since I do not want to believe in ghost. I just cant think of any thing else to explain it.

I belive you n all, but I dont belive it was ghosts, who knows, but saying it was "ghosts" is silly

Becuase what does a ghost want with a phone? and i dont belive ghosts have a mind of there own, its justs useless body energy that floats around or something

Nothing came out of her hearing your conversation there for why would a ghost do it? to make you think? why would it even bother to be "mysterious" is that some kind of groovy cool ghost thing to do?

Anyway, why were you saying aliens are stupid? The probability of them existing is HUGE Although i highly doubt any aliens have visited earth, thats all silly noncense

Jimi, I have a TV that puts itself on once in a while. Pretty scary, but no ghost, I tell you.

No, I don't believe in ghosts. I can understand people who do, like people who has experienced it themselves. But since I haven't, I'll go with reason and logic. And if it happens to me, it's prolly just my mind playing tricks on me. You see what you expect to see. Like when you are walking in the dark, and a tree looks just like a person, just because the brain is prepared to see such things.
