Let me preface this question with the fact that I have my G4 tower and P4 tower side by side. I love both my computers equally.

However, I am obviously using my PC for gaming and constructing the mods, while I use my Mac for video, sound, etc. The reason for this question, is I want to start off on the journey of modding and I purchased Unreal 2. The editor crashes a lot. I am going through UDN's in depth coverage of the editor, but want to know if any other game has an editor for the Mac?

Not Quake 3 it seems, nor Unreal obbiously. Half-Life? Any home made editors for these games?

Thanks for any help.

what is the best operating system to run this editor on? I have windows 98 at present.

Also, are there updates to the official editor?

Quake1 has a few things for the mac as editors, Quiver is one of them :)

Windows 98 SE is best for PC. All others - pure evile.

Updates should come as patches to the game, as the editor is bundled with the game (unrealEd that is...)

GTKRadiant should edit all 3 games, however I find it pretty hard to learn.
