skajwolkr	Hi, seems like a great idea, but consider this...will that mod be better than Emperor:Battle for dune? Becouse simple replacing units can be fun just for a while.

Asteryus	Just out of curiousity, other than visuals, what would this game bring to the table that would be different from the other Dune games? Or is that all you are planning on doing, giving Dune a visual make-over? -- "I'm the Robenator. Could some one make me a mod that is single player. I want it to be about a CIA agent name James Ryan. His mission to take down a terrorest leader bend on taking over the world. You use everything from silenced weapons to Mini-Guns. If you want to make this mod for me plz tell me.." ambershee Nimbusfish Rawks	Emperor runs on an early version of the Generals engine - Generals is hardly an upgrade really, only a few visual graphic approaches have changed - why not just change those in Emperor? Seems odd to me otherwise.

Lazarus3000	Generals is by far easier to edit than Emperor, plus Generals allows a lot more effects to be achieved. The only question is how to get those XBF graphic files in Emperor to W3D files for Generals?

ambershee Nimbusfish Rawks	You can't convert the Dune models to Generals - that's very illegal and very obvious plagarism - you'd have to redo the models from scratch. The W3D milkshape importer is fine mind

ambershee Nimbusfish Rawks	I have an XBF reader that can export in ms3d (milk shape 3d). Very nice, but useless. As mentioned before - all models must be redone from scratch, otherwise they defy the copyright laws of the owner in a very heavy way. A Dune based mod for Generals could be great, but personally, it would need to be more than a port over.
