"Have you ever felt the chill of death, that never ending biting fear that cuts into you? I have as well. And it happens every night. Every night I battle on the edge of something darker, something bigger, something stranger than I have ever encountered. And I have fought a lot. They call me names like sell-sword, rogue, dishonored. But I was once a man of name. I was once a man whom they called Vardurilin, the Slayer of the Red Dragon. I was once somebody. Now, I fight to protect people whom I loved, people who don't remember my name, and likely never will. For now, for them...I'm just a shadow memory."


Introduction
Spanning 128 sq. km, Nevalys is a sprawling RPG covering canyons, swamps and vast open plains with danger lurking around every corner. Following the journey of a disgraced king on his quest for redemption, Nevalys places an intense focus on the main story without taking away from the open structure of the game. With an estimated of 200 hours of gameplay, it is the RPG lovers delight. Either choose between six races each offering a unique race specific questline to promote replay value or between the 10 factions each having different motives and agendas in the world. In Nevalys, the possibilities are endless. Every day is a new adventure.This project is a long term one, and we hope to release Q2 2017. We plan to apply for PS4 and Xbox One developer kits in January. If we are unsuccessful in getting them, we will release the game for PC.

The Developers
Nevalys is a project based primarily in India yet has volunteers all over the world. Its a young team but what we lack in experience we make up in passion. The team currently exists of:
3 Unreal Engine 4 level designers
5 modelers
6 artists
4 writers
2 programmers
2 Soundtrack artists & composers

As of now we stand at 24% completion according to our Development Model.




What we need:

  • Modeling
    • Creatures(3)
    • characters(4)
    • furniture(3)
    • in-game misc. inanimate objects(3)
    • in-game misc. animate objects(4)
    • architecture (small scale) and architecture (large scale) (5)
    • weapons (4)
    • environment items & objects (4)
  • Note the number within the bracket signifies the number of recruits we require.
  • Textures(4)
    • Texture creation using GIMP/Photoshop
    • UV Unwrapping
    • texture baking
    • normal/disp/bump mapping.
  • Rigging (4)
    • Rigging characters
    • driver set rigs
    • IK rigs
    • Custom creature rigging.

Animation (3)
This would entail realistic walk cycles for humans as well as other medieval animations such as various positions with a sword and other weapons. Creature animators are also required.

Unreal Engine 4 Landscapers (3)
Ability to create realistic terrain with Unreal Engine. Also should have some dedication for the project as this task is the most time-consuming. Interested people should be able to demonstrate a portfolio.

Artists(5)
Architecture and general environment artists in particular although any artist is encouraged to get in touch with us.

Programmers(3)
For a game of this magnitude we need large number of programmers considering the large amount of code the game would require. At least 2 years of experience C++ is recommended for the complexity of the game. We also would love to have an advanced AI programmer on board.
