[GAME] Counter-Strike reboots my pc midgame Thread

Whenever i do a quick match game on CS, 4 out of 5 times my pc will turn off, and reboot (shutting down improperly, btw) and when its booted up a message that says 'windows just recovered from a fatal error' whats up with either my comp or CS?

i think its your comp, a game can't shut down your computer, at least i don't think so...

well, the loading screen says the host can run commands on your cleint, could they shut it down like that?

no, everyones says that i get that message, but i think your computer is b0rked
retrace your steps find out what you mighta done

try reinstalling cs or download it again, if that doesn't work it definetly is your comp's fault

it never happens doing anything else, just CS quickmatches. its a 3/4 year old game pc, so i doubt it, HL's been working forever, and so's BF1942 and RA2.

I guess no one thought a virus could be the problem. Run a virus scanner, just because it happens during CS, doesn't mean it is CS.

i run norton AV every week, fully updated, nothing.

Maybe your computer is over-heating, perhaps?

hmmmmm why do you use the quick start option anyway??

umm, its quick, lol. and i logged in right after booting up, its a stiock pc besides the monitor and cd burner, and it still happened.

Well, try to cool your computer. Turn on a big fan. Open the CMOS and check the temperature or get a program i.e. GLSYSMON.

its not that, my pc is not overheating, its been on all day and its still moderate temp right nmow. in fact, the metal on the sides is ice cold.
