Since a lot of what my mod is like and about seems a bit clouded to most of you, I've decided that the best way to write it all out is through a FAQ list.

I've already got a few q&as -- only a start -- written down: 27 questions and answers in 2,500 words. What I want is for you to ask more! Here's a list of the questions (I won't include the answers here, I'll wait until actionrealm is back up for that)

Section I: GENERAL

What type of game is Fniggium?
Will it have a multiplayer mode?
Will there be coop play?
When will it be released?
Is it free?
Will there be selectable difficulty levels?
I can't wait to blast some zombies with lightning! (this is where i mention that there is no magic)

Section II: CHARACTER CREATION AND DEVELOPMENT

Will I be able to create a character before I start the game?
Can I be female?
Are there base skills, such as Strength? What kind of impact will these have on the game?
Will I be able to modify or increase these base skills during the game?
So I could make myself prettier?
What kind of races will you be able to choose from (Answer: one.)
How about classes? Can I be a Fighter, a Thief, an Archer... (Answer: no)
What kind of character development will there be? For example, gaining experience points or passing levels...
You mentioned dialogue. How exactly will conversing with NPCs work? Will it always be the same every time you play?
How restricted will you be if you have an abysmally low Intelligence?

Section ?: BEATING THE GAME

End boss? (Answer: *shrugs*)
Will I be able to beat the game without killing a single person or monster?
Will I be able to beat the game without talking to anyone?
Will there be multiple endings?
About how long will it usually take to beat the game?
What's one of the shortest possible times in which one could beat the game?
Is there a time limit, or could I take as long as I wanted to beat the game?

And finally, the stray uncategorized-as-of-yet one:

If there aren't any potions, how do I get healed?

PLEASE! Add to this! Ask any question at all! One that falls under the categories above, or one that doesn't!

Everything seems covered? What are you on?! These are only two categories of questions, and they're not even complete. And yes, Cheap, I'll have a 'Miscellaneous' section at the end for the more... difficult to categorize questions.

Possible additional sections:
- Combat
- Skills (could fall under character development)
- Technology (a big one, describes what exists and what doesn't)
- Plot
- Weapons/Armour/Items...
- A.I.
- Features
- Modding

Come on people, add some things! Bug reporting probably won't be in the FAQ, at least not yet.

what does the word fniggium mean?
then you say it's a work in progress name that means nothing.

Okay, I've got a bunch of stuff under the 'Combat' section now.

What are the main goals in the Fniggium combat system and how does it work?
What about ranged weapons?
Will you be able to wield two weapons simultaneously?
How about two-handed weapons?
Can I choose to be either left-handed or right-handed (or possibly both)?
Will you be able to use shields realistically?
So duels in Fniggium should be pretty interesting?
How does armour work? Will I be able to equip individual pieces such as bracers, gauntlets, rings, shoes, etc...?
Will the weapons be balanced? (Duh, otherwise I wouldn't have this question :rolleyes:)
Can I use siege weapons? :D
Did I hear 'army'? Does that mean there will be very large-scale battles?

That's 11 new questions, 1220 new words :):thumbup:

New section
'GAME ENGINE'

Is Fniggium being created on a completely home-brewed engine, or will it be licensing technology from another company?
So you're releasing the source code to the core engine. What about the game code? Will Fniggium be moddable?
Will the mods be 'modular', in other words, will you be able to plug in a bunch of them into your current game, like in Morrowind?
What kind of video mode and/or video cards will Fniggium support?
What level of special effects can we expect in Fniggium?
So there will be nice weather effects?
Is it a very detailed game (in terms of polygons and texture resolution)?
Will I be able to see the weapons, clothing and armour I equip on my character?
What kind of model animation does the engine use?
Will there be pretty water?
Will there be lip-synching and/or facial expressions on NPCs?
What are the system requirements for playing Fniggium?

That's 13 new questions, 746 new words. In total there are almost 5000 words! :D
