that plans that will most likely kill mod and end user developement are well into the process of becoming reality. to duplicate my post on quakesrc.org

and what? I can't write programs for school any longer? I can't code any freeware and all the THOUSANDS of existing freeware products become useless? rofl no, i DON'T believe that. The guys who propagate TCPA must have a short vision. If they do mod-chips for all mainboards will be the topseller of the year, but they wont. |

Yeah codeing is gonna end just like that water marking technologie in cd stopped illegal MP3 sharing. Compines will never find a way to stop people from doing what they want on their comp machines so don't get so scared. |

stopping coding it is not the question... I do not doubt that coding will still be possible, what gets me is, those pieces of code that haven't paid the license fee to run on these machines will be deemed illegal and as such non suitable for public files........ -- __ |
