Disable/move the "themes" bar Thread

Hey,

Sorry if this has been brought up before. This is the first time i've come to ModDB in a few months now, and i'm loving the new design. I have one suggestion though: the themes bar should be moved to the bottom, or you should have the ability to turn it off or something. I'd much prefer to have the main news rotator thing higher up so it's the first thing my eyes notice.

Unless your res is 800x600, I don't see how the news rotator *isn't* the first thing you see, because the Themes table barely takes up any room at all for me.

Buy a new monitor lol, it looks fine to me.

I can still see the news even if I don't scroll. My point is why do they have something that's approx. 950x100 pixels when - (a) we'll only ever use it a few times a week or even a month, if that. And (b) There's only a tiny portion of it which actually does anything (the "Themes" text) whereas the rest of it is just a big black bar wasting space.

Themes are a miscellaneous thing that doesn't really add anything to the site other than pretty colours. It would be more logical to have all the news items and stuff first, since this whole site is about brining mods to the community, and move the themes thing to the bottom.

My feelings are probably strong because i've recently completed a uni module where we have to analyse and criticise websites, haha. But yeah, that's just my opinion on the matter.

Its there because they need space for the ad .

Oh yeah I didn't know you could be a Bachelor of being a whining little bitch. lol. The fact is the bar is essential and it shouldn't be removed because then we've got just 1 advert. Meaning that Intense looses money. Therefore it should stay, so please get over it and pick on elements that actually do need criticizing.

There is currently nothing up there, but it will be used for ads once things move over. It's like what we used to have on the main site, obviously. Just takes time.
