TriK SiLeNt_InSaNiTy	So this is the story... I was surfing around the web and i remebered that MoHAA:PA was coming out... YAY! SO i went over to gamespot.com and i donwnloaded the demo. Halfway in thr installation giude and error came up and oit said that I dont have a Video Card the Supports Direcr X 8.1 Or Higher. I was Pissed and So I Was Wondering if ANY Video Card can Have Direct X 8.1 Or Hihger on it... thats my question. -- {Frag} \|The\| -{Weak}- \|_Hurdle_\| \|The\| -:Dead:-

TriK SiLeNt_InSaNiTy	Well thats wat teh download said... my vid card doesnt have right now... my question was if ANY card can have it, as in i can just intall it on my card. RatoN We're going to the Winchester	Well there are one of three things you can do. One is that you find out that your card doesn't support DX8+ and you are forced to upgrade, which at your current state, I'd do that anyway. Two, you need to keep your gfx card drivers up to date. Or finally, you need to install DX8+. Do you know what kind of Radeon you have specificly? Edited by: RatoN

I upgraded my Trident Cyberblade3d i7 4mb and it was then DX9 capable, I could run Farcry on my laptop! RatoN We're going to the Winchester	Well I did alittle research on discontinued ATI cards and found some that said they were DX8 compatible, and some that specificly said DX8.1 compatible. However, I doubt that makes any difference whatsoever. For information on your ATI card, you'll probably find it in this list. Ati.com And to upgrade your DirectX, head here. RatoN We're going to the Winchester	These are based on the ATI 8.07 Beta drivers, which incorporate some major performance improvements over previous drivers for cards with 256MB of ram, and some small improvements for the rest of the cards. This won't effect TriK much. But it's a good notice for others.
