Developing on IndieDB, but not Desura? (Forums : Support : Developing on IndieDB, but not Desura?) Locked

Hello all,

yesterday I submitted a game on IndieDB, and it got confirmed by a Site Administrator. Well, it shows fine on IndieDB, but it does not show that I am developing it on Desura, thought I used the same email and account. It said to see the development page, but I didn't see it, even when I rolled down the tabs.

Any help would be appericiated!

You might just have to set it up on there separately. I get confused with all the sites networked together for the same but sorta different things o_O.

Yea there used to be a "publish" tab I think but if you go to desura and log in and go to Indiedb.com you'll see your game and just press "publish on desura" and it will submit it.

Thank you for responding! Sadly, I didn't find a publish tab on Desura. I think the problem is Twitter, actually; I log into IndieDB with my Twitter account, and I guess it thinks that my Desura account is different. When I hit authorize app when logging into Desura from Twitter, it takes me to a dead link. Is there a way to add a user to the development team or something, as I'm thinking that might fix it (It would be weird though, as my name is tettrox on both Desura and IndieDB..). If you know any other solutions, that would be great! I submitted a support letter to Desura last night, but I got no reply so far.

Thanks again,
Tettrox

Hey chap, your best speaking to developers@desura.com regarding your games publishing, we are no longer linked to desuras database.

Oh, ok. So would I have to re-apply to get the game on there (For example, like I had to wait for the game to be approved by a staff member here, would I have to wait there too?). I sent a email to developers@desura.com last night, hoping they would reply by today, but I haven't gotten an email so far.

Thanks for your help,

I don't know if they are in the office weekends, but essentially wait to see if they already have it pending authorization before adding it again, but yes you would have to add your game & wait for the game to be authorized again AFAIK.

that's correct, Desura and IndieDB are now separeted so any content added after the 27th of January 2014 will need to be published on both

Hi! So two different platforms, uhm, I don't like it :)
But is there any reason for this?

Tks.

yes Desura has now been aquired by Linden Lab developers of Second Life and as a result is no longer the property of ModDB
what I would like to know is is ModDB the property of DesuraNET and who if any owns that and what links does ModDB have have with Game Revolution.

ModDB - IndieDB - SlideDB are owned and run by DBolical
Game Revolution are a sponsor?
