dawn of the goth Thread

i had a dream it was an adventure dream sort of like a movie it was just like dawn of the dead but "dawn of the goth " there were blood thirsty goths everywhere and all i had was my bmx and eventually i got a thompson machine gun and a ak 47 and all sorts of weapons i find myself crawling through vents shooting goths and then i kill the goth leader by choping off his hhead with a sword .... anyways i was wondering if this mod idea could become real i would advise it for battlefield half life or a strategy game like empire earth...please reply and tell me your comments

wow your an ass. The idea is stupid but that does not mean you cant give him info on how to make it not stupid.

I actually think it would be cool if you could set up a mod like this and have ramps that you could ride off of and land on the "goths" and kill them (prolly would look best in hl2). You could make the entire mod on the bike (More innovative) and just use the guns while riding on it, kinda like a constant drive by shooting mode.

You missed lots of people dissing each other over stupid stuff. And you missed this guys dream about killing Goths. Which may be kind of offensive to Goths. Oh well, who needs em.

I'd say it's racist...but hating goths doesn't fall under that category..

Well...not much worse than the chav mod...only this mod isn't funny.

There's nothing wrong with Goths.

Goths are normal in comparison to people that think beheading them solely because they classify them as a "goth" is fun.

This idea is pretty lame but to be totally PC lets change "Goth" to "Gang Member"

I could more see goths versus chavs as being a sort of joke cinematic in it...perhaps. Unless you had a goth cannon that shot roses and angsty poetry at the chavs.

I'm not 'hating' this mod. It's just a little silly, is all. Goth kids don't fight. The best way to defeat one is to tell them that hot topic filed bankruptcy. Then they'll run off and write a poem about it.

At least chav's will fight back in groups. Get a group of goths together and they'll dance and pretend to be vampires. No sport in killing people who just sit there. :p

i want his dreams

actually, a few nights ago i had a DOTD dream which took place in a dark city. i would have to say it was one of my best dreams ever. it felt so real; me killing zombies with a group of survivors lol.

i know that this summer/spring there is going to be a game where you're a zombie who can throw your guts as weapons and bite humans and other stuff zombies like to do. Stubbsthezombie.com

anyway, anyone know the best zombie killing mod coming out?

My good friend Alex's "Killing Floor" for UT is promising...the probably have a profile here somewhere...

Cyanide, buddy, you need to stop doing things like that. There's going to be other zombie mods besides yours. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but you should be aware of how many times this has happened. When there's a zombie thread, you're not that far behind to completely berate the guy who has the idea and badger him to death.

I'd like to see some progress with your mod before you go ahead and say yours is the only real zombie mod that's any good out there. I know a lot of mod leaders like to keep a lot of their content underwraps, but at least one piece of concept a month serves anyone's eye candy, doesn't it?

So please, instead of attacking a guy, why don't you offer some helpful advice. It seems all you offer is your version of "constructive criticism" in the way of attacking a person's spelling or the way they're going about doing their mod. I'm not saying this guy has the best zombie mod idea on the planet, but there's nothing wrong with offering good help once in a while.

If someone else comes along with an idea sort of like mine, whether it's a third person sword combat mod or anything like that, I'm definitely going to help that guy out, because I want to see a genre like that grow rather than turn into a tiny part of the modding community. We need more mods like that, and the same could be said about innovation in the zombie genre. Let's help these guys out
