I want to create a Introduction with the Contents of the Tutorial and then do hyperlinks to every page. but not for external sites, I want to hiperlink to my MOD Data Base version of the tutorial. How can I do that with the tutorial Section? I know how to create a Page. [page=Contents] CONTENTS FILE SYNTAX
Selection Modes Viewing the Map Editing Arches Slopes Atmospheres Lights OpenGL Objects and Entities Doors Enemies 3DS MAX PLUGINS
Debug mode Output Console Commands Command Line Options LINKS So the next page should be: [page=File Syntax] How can I do the Hyperlink? Edited by: esfumato |

When you do the [page=blah] tag, it automaticly creates a table of contents / page selection list at the bottom of the page. If you go down there you can find what the link to each page will be (www.moddb.com/tutorials/idnumber/cool-name-here/?page=3 or whatever) , The key is to note that this links are based on numeric id's rather than what you called them, you you just have to check to make sure which page is which. (Unfortunatly, if you use the [url]tag, it will always make the new pages open in a new browser window / tab. No way to override that unfortunatly, and you also can't setup anchors. Hope that helps. (I guess in summary, find link at end of page, copy, paste, use the normal url code, it just opens in a new window.) |

Yeah, thats the best way to do it. Hopefully Scott will re-work v4s tutorial so they're not as much of a pain in the arse in that respect. |
