Codename: HC
(Placeholder Name)

Hey folks,
I am a new developer (and fulltime student) who is putting a team together to develop a two-dimensional (2D) survival sidescroller with several unique features and gameplay aspects. While I have recruited several members to the team already (friends and classmates), there has not been much progress outside of my own work (Programmers are new to Unity and game development, and artists are slow or inactive). I am looking to bring on several members with some experience to replace the current team members who haven't contributed, as well as to create regular progression on the project.

The Game:
Focusing on single-player story mode, as well as single and multiplayer survival modes, HC is a 2D, wave based, sidescrolling, survival shooter where players shoot, hack / slash, and destroy their enemies to survive. HC's gameplay mechanics are intended to be easy to learn, but hard to master, allowing for a multiplayer ranking system, leaderboards, and much more!

Level Design and Flow:
Part of my vision for this title is to have seamlessly looping levels (meaning there is no start/end to a level *exceptions made for story mode*), allowing the player to go in either direction to reach their destination. In addition to looping levels, having smooth level transitions using short animated cut-scenes where possible to create an enjoyable gameplay experience.

Platforms:
· PC / Mac (Initial Release)
· Xbox (First Port)
· Android / iOS (Second Port)

Key Features:
· Single-player story mode with multiple characters (each with unique story line)
· Multiplayer Co-Op (up to 4 players)
· Unique character attributes / perks
· Multiple enemy types and mechanics
· Wide variety of weapons and weapon types
· Weapon upgrades / customization
· Light crafting system (traps, turrets, barricades)
· Weapon recoil
· Random perks and bonuses
· Ranking System (multiplayer)
· Leaderboards (multiplayer)

Future Plans:
· Downloadable Content releases for Xbox and Android / iOS
· Develop and release PC / Xbox sequel as 3D First Person Shooter

Team Roles / Needs:
· Programmer / Developer (C#)
· Character Artist
· 2D Animator
· Background Artist / Level Designer
· Writer

Requirements:
· 18+ years of age
· English speaking
· Self-motivated
· Portfolio / work examples
· Team oriented / Team player

Current Team:
Our current team consists of the following:

· 2x C# developers (new to Unity and game development)
· 2x Artists (one who is slow to produce content and another who has yet to contribute)
· 1x 2D animator (has yet to contribute to the project, due to lack of art assets to work with)

My Role:
I have listed myself with the C# developers, however I am also a graphic designer / artist and many other things. I have a background in web design and development, as well as community management and project management. If you have questions, feel free to contact me!

Return of Investment:
Game development is very time consuming and requires a lot of skill to pull off. Because of this, I don't expect anyone to offer their time or services without expecting some form of return. As a result I would like to keep the development team fairly small (6-8 members) and profit share with those who make large contributions to the project, and pay those per job for smaller contributions.

Once the game is further in development, I do plan on launching a Kickstarter for some funding, as well as touching base with a few possible investors I have lined up who are interested in the game (but want to see a working prototype first).
